Raw material collectors play a vital role in supporting farmers to register in the traceability system. These suppliers are responsible for entering source information for feed corn, including the farmer’s name and the volume purchased. Each time a collector buys produce from a farmer, the system requires verification of the transaction through a one time password (OTP) sent to the farmer’s registered phone number.
When collectors sell feed corn to the CPF feed mill, they must record the sale within the system. This enables the Company to trace corn origination across all supply chain actors and verify whether the cultivation areas are associated with deforestation or open burning activities. If the system identifies hotspots or burn scars within any registered plot, the collector must conduct on site inspections and provide oversight to the affected farmers within seven days. At the same time, the Company will deploy field staff to deliver training on proper stubble management and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
For farms that violate the no stubble burning policy, the Company will suspend corn purchases from the responsible farmer for one year. This measure aims to encourage behavioral change and collaboratively uphold environmental sustainability.
