This system encompasses four sustainability aspects related to labor, health and safety, the environment, and business ethics, which apply to its global business network. Suppliers must complete a Self- Assessment Questionnaire (Sedex SAQ) annually.

Additionally, suppliers in high-risk countries are required to undergo audits in accordance with the SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) standards conducted by independent auditors, in alignment with the principles of the Ethical Trading Initiative.
