Recycle With UF & RO Technologies: High-Quality Water Recycling in the Food Business

Protecting Our Climate
Water recycling capacity: Over
million cubic meters per year

Because food production requires large volumes of water to maintain product quality and safety, CPF has redesigned its production processes and invested in modern equipment across all primary processing and food manufacturing plants in Thailand. The Company has also introduced automation and digital technologies to strengthen overall environmental performance, including in greenhouse gas management, energy use, water use, and waste reduction.

Key water technologies employed in several plants are Ultrafiltration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO). These advanced water recycling technologies elevate the quality of reused water to meet or exceed tap water standards. The filtration process uses membranes that purify the water; UF can filter out certain bacteria and viruses down to 0.01 microns, while RO can remove chemicals, dissolved solids, pathogens, and all types of viruses down to 0.0001 microns. The Company utilizes the high-quality water obtained from this filtration in cooling systems and other food-contact applications.
