Bio-Fertilizer for Farmers

To support farmers experiencing water scarcity in areas surrounding its operations and to strengthen community water security, the Company launched the “Bio-Fertilizer Sharing Project” in 2001. The project distributes treated water from swine-farm biogas systems and was expanded in 2021 to include layer chicken complexes.
The treated water meets discharge quality standards and contains beneficial nutrients. It is provided to farmers and nearby communities for irrigating gardens and a wide range of crops, including fruit orchards, rice fields, teak, rubber, eucalyptus, oil palm, sugarcane, corn, cassava, animal fodder, bamboo groves, and vegetable plots. The initiative helps mitigate drought impacts, improves year-round access to water, reduces fertilizer costs and reliance on chemical fertilizers, and supports higher yields and increased income for farmers and communities.
