CPF Grow-Share-Protect Mangrove Project

Protecting Our Climate

Since 2014, in collaboration with local government agencies and communities, our Thailand operations has conserved and restored mangrove forests in Samut Sakhon, Rayong, and Trat provinces, covering a total area of over 2,700 rai (432 hectares). Crucial for nurturing aquatic animals, mangrove forests support ecosystem biodiversity and enhances food security and quality of life for local communities.

Biodiversity Survey

In 2023–2024, together with the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, we assessed biodiversity—birds, insects, and fish—in the mangrove conservation area in Tha Phrik Subdistrict, Trat Province. The findings indicate ecosystem health, as mangroves are a key food source for these species.

In addition, in partnership with the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand, we surveyed birds in the mangrove conservation area in Bang Ya Phraek Subdistrict, Samut Sakhon Province, which supports resident birds and lies along a migratory bird route.
